BIRDING TRIP 2026

When: Saturday, March 23  7:00 AM - ?

Where: Throughout Fort Drum

Fort Drum Natural Resources staff will lead a birding tour of the installation during Memorial Day weekend when recreational access tends to be more open. Participants will meet in the morning and carpool through the Training Area, stopping in a variety of habitats to look for birds. 

Participants should bring binoculars, lunch, water, insect repellent, and waterproof footwear.

Participation is limited to 15 and registration is required. Preference will be given to those who have not previously been on one of our Fort Drum birding tours. This is a free event.
